Diffuser Blends: An Aromatic Visual Legend

Our Diffuser Blends contain anywhere from 3 to 8 different essential oils, formulated in proportions that enhance and compliment one another.

Over the last one hundred years many folks have developed sensitivities to synthetic perfumes and to petrochemical derivatives in scented products and cosmetics. Best health practices indicate that adopting healthy lifestyle habits and reducing our exposure to synthetic fragrances will benefit our bodies, and the air quality in our homes.

Plants provide an abundance of pleasing and natural aromas, essential oils are simply concentrated natural aromatics (nature's perfumes) it simply makes sense to take advantage of the aromas that mother nature provides rather than the man-made.

Floral aromas such as Jasmine, Lavender, Nerolina, Rose & Ylang Ylang help to lessen the affects of stress while being reassuring and quietening anxious minds.  Lavender, Nerolia and Ylang Ylang are commonly used in Aromatherapy and Aromachology inspired products due their affordability.  Rose, Neroli and Jasmine are far too dear to use in electric water diffusers, rather their preciousness should be enjoyed in natural perfumes.

Citrus aromas such as Bergamot, Grapefruit, Lemon, Lime, Mandarin and Orange are well known for their cheerful effects.  Due to their affordability they can be used in a variety of natural scenting products such as fragrant sprays, in diffuser blends and in natural perfumes. Cautionary Note: An in-depth knowledge of essential oil chemistry is recommended before using citrus oils in leave-on skin skin care products.

Spice aromas such as Clove, Cinnamon, Ginger and Black Pepper are warming to the soul and some of the constituents that occur in spice oils possess anti-microbial properties.  When used in minute amounts in natural perfumes they punctuate the composition with a hint of mystique. Spice oils should never be used in skin care products or in the bath.

Earthy, woody and resinous aromas such as Cedarwood, Coffee, Frankincense, Patchouli and Sandalwood provide good base note properties that allow for aromatic lingering in many Aromatherapy & Aromachology inspired products. Earthy aromas seem to have psychological grounding effects that may be helpful during times of agitation. Sandalwood oil is far too dear to use in an aromatic room diffusion, rather it should be enjoyed in a natural perfume.

Fragrant leaves and grasses such as Geranium, Lemongrass, Palmarosa and Petitgrain (orange leaf) are rich in constituents such as citrolellol and geraniol.  These substances cast a rosy, citrus green aroma which produces feelings of positivity. They are wonderful additions to all types of Aromatherapy & Aromachology inspired products.

The aroma of savoury herbs, mints and those which are camphorous such as Eucalyptus, Fennel, Marjoram, Peppermint, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme are highly associated with wellbeing due to their fresh and comforting effects.  Many of the constituents that occur in these oils are highly valued as air purifiers due to their anti-microbial properties.
